Rurouni Kenshin OVA - Kenshin (18)
Kaoru, having watched Kenshin refuse to work for the government or lead their armies, observes that maybe now he can lay down his sword. No, he says. He was meant to live by the sword, and until he knows what else he's supposed to do, he can't lay it down.

This is the second cel from this sequence I've owned. The first was only in my posession briefly as a fellow Kenshin nut convinced me to sell it to her. This one, though, is staying here. Its special appeal to me is that this face reveals how conflicted Kenshin really is over having done horrible things in order to help what he had believed was a just cause.
